… With pictures coming soon!
My apologies for being rather slow in updating my blog recently. It’s taken a bit to get back into the swing of things after being sick for a couple weeks! Since sales have slowed to a crawl on my etsy site due to the economy, I have been working at some new ideas and projects for myself and some friends, as well as experimenting with some brainstorms.
Some personal projects I have been working on have included a cute Disney accordion album from our anniversary trip my husband and I took to Disneyland in August this year. I have all kinds of pictures from our trip but haven’t had the patience or motivation to sit down and put them into albums, so I decorated an accordion album using the pictures we took of us and various Disney characters around the parks. I haven’t had a chance to take pics of the album yet, but I’ll put them up soon! Also in the works is finishing up our Honeymoon album from a year and a half ago. I have the album pretty much put together, I just need to put in pictures. Easier said than done, believe me.
A couple very dear friends of mine announced they are pregnant the past couple months, so I have been working on projects for them, which have, in turn, inspired me to design more baby projects. I’m working on a Disney colors baby book right now, and am hoping to do an alphabet book soon. I also got a brainstorm idea to design a baby book … not a scrapbook album persay, although it will have plenty of space for lots of pictures, but a baby book for the parents to put down all the baby’s information, first haircut, growth, little notes, keepsakes, etc. This one might take couple weeks in the making to design all the pages and make sure I have included all the information parents might want to record for their baby! I’m very excited about this project though!
I got an idea from one of my coworkers for an altered book, as well. I have never made one before, but her daughter-in-law made her a real cute one for Christmas that gave me some good ideas. I’ll put up pics of the finished project when I get it done – I’m not sure when that will be yet, but I will be sure to keep updates going on my blog!
My wonderful husband has been designing a custom website for me – with a blog and portfolio. It looks fantastic and I am so excited for when he gets it finished!
